The mission of The Vitanova Foundation is to help put lives back together again.

Vitanova’s vision is of a healthy community--one made up of individuals and families of every background, empowered to live, work and enjoy life to the fullest, with esteem for themselves and respect for others.

Vitanova’s objectives are:
* to operate a centre in and from which a continuum of prevention and recovery services is provided to all who suffer from addictions and the threat of them.
* to enhance community development by increasing general knowledge about the phenomenon of addiction and related mental health issues.
* to increase the life and job skills of our clients, in order for them to become and/or remain healthy and productive members of the community.

Based on this treatment philosophy, and employing this treatment process, Vitanova has achieved an enviable record as an innovator in the field:

Vitanova pioneered addiction day treatment in Ontario (with clients attending Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm), a highly cost-efficient approach that---complemented by evening and outpatient treatment----has been continuously funded by the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care since 1991.
